Originally from San Leandro, Dr. Lau's journey led him to complete his undergraduate and dental school education at UCLA. He further honed his expertise through oral surgery internships at prestigious medical centers in New York City, covering Montefiore, Mount Sinai, and Jacobi Medical centers.
Dr. Lau recently concluded his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency (2019-2023) at Allegheny General Hospital, a level 1 trauma center in Pittsburgh, PA.
We are privileged to welcome him back to the Bay Area, and his arrival brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm.Dr. Lau specializes in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures, with a particular interest in temporomandibular joint replacement.
His contributions extend beyond the operating room, as evidenced by his publications on salivary gland disorders in the Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology (OOOO) Journal. Moreover, he was recognized as a finalist in the Merz Innovation Forum for his work on botulinum toxin in the correction of postoperative facial nerve weakness in TMJ replacement patients.
